Lippert Components and Taylor Made Announce Marine Brand Strategy

January 30, 2019
Elkhart, Ind. — Lippert Components, Inc. (LCI®) and their subsidiary Taylor Made Group, LLC (“Taylor Made”), announced a new branding strategy today that will brand all current and future marine products made by both LCI and Taylor Made under the Taylor Made name.
LCI acquired Taylor Made in January 2018 and, together, LCI and Taylor Made are now one of the world’s leading suppliers of components to the recreational marine market. Effective immediately, all LCI and Taylor Made products manufactured for both original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and the related aftermarkets will be branded as Taylor Made products.
LCI’s Platinum Series Pontoon Furniture, a product line featuring chaises, helm stands, benches, corner and radius corner seats, and a wide range of additional pontoon seating options and accessories, will transition to the Taylor Made brand name.
In addition to being the world’s largest manufacturer of marine glazing systems, and a leader in windshield technology for powerboats, Taylor Made manufactures a large selection of custom-quality marine products, including manually and power actuated doors, roof systems, hatches, direct-bond glass, and canvas enclosures.
“The strength of the Taylor Made name is unmatched within the marine industry. Throughout our branding discussions, we emphasized how important it was to continue to build upon the legacy of quality, performance, and superior service that the Taylor Made name has become synonymous with,” said Jason Lippert, LCI’s CEO. “This is an exciting day as we begin the process of refining our marine product-line branding and continue to grow the Taylor Made name.”
“We’re very excited to take on the marine product offerings under the Taylor Made name. With a history in the marine market dating back to 1908, Taylor Made’s reputation has steadily strengthened over the last 100-plus years. Combining the excellence in engineering and design that LCI’s products bring to the table, our marine product lines will continue to flourish and evolve,” stated Jason Pajonk-Taylor, Vice President for Taylor Made.
Over the last several years, LCI has worked to develop its product presence within the marine marketplace. Lippert Components Manufacturing, Inc. recently acquired the business and certain assets of the furniture manufacturing operation of Smoker Craft, Inc., a leading pontoon, aluminum fishing, and fiberglass boat manufacturer.
“LCI’s marine seating and components have shown strength within the marine marketplace. By combining the strength of the Taylor Made name with the operational resources that LCI brings to the table, we hope to continue the success we’ve seen,” said Jeff Wysong, LCI’s Vice President of Sales, Marine.
A new website is currently in development and will showcase the brand’s entire marine product offering: www.taylormadeproducts.com.
