Lippert Components Promotes Ian Nielsen to Assistant General Manager

Elkhart, Ind. — Lippert Components, Inc. (LCI®) has announced the promotion of Ian Nielsen to Assistant General Manager for the Company’s Ramp and Baggage Door operations at Plant 58. Previously, Nielsen spent six months training for a managerial position with the Company through the Leadership in Training (LIT) Program.
In his new role, Nielsen is responsible for assisting and supporting the manufacturing efforts, operations, development and overall growth of LCI’s ramp and baggage door product lines.
“Ian’s leadership and compassion is second to none. With his knowledge of the RV industry, Ian brings depth to the team at Plant 58. More importantly, the meaningful relationships Ian has been developing with our team members, customers, and the community is a definite strength, and I’m very excited to see Ian’s continued growth at LCI,” stated Steve Jenkins, Vice President of Operations at LCI.
“What excites me is the ability to see and experience different facets of operations before being fully responsible for the operations. I am excited to get acclimated to the [Plant 58] team and culture and see how I can impact it,” Nielsen commented.
Prior to joining LCI’s LIT Program, Nielsen earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Taylor University where he studied Health and Physical Education. During his four year collegiate career, Nielsen played baseball for both Ball State University and Taylor University while managing to achieve Dean’s List status each semester. Nielsen completed the first two years of his undergraduate degree at Ball State before transferring to Taylor University to complete his undergraduate education.
