Plant 77 Cinderella Tea Party for Destiny Rescue
Plant 77 team members helped organize and set up for the Cinderella Tea Party, an event that benefits nonprofit organization Destiny Rescue. Destiny Rescue is an awareness group that helps prevent sex trafficking and exploitation of women and children around the world.
Support for United Cancer Services of Elkhart County
"I would like to thank and recognize the Lippert Windows division team for helping raise money to support United Cancer Services of Elkhart County. With their efforts we were able to raise $2,761 to support this organization. Each plant helped sell raffle tickets and benefit dinner tickets for events organized by a group of volunteers called Circle of Friends. The Circle of Friends group (myself included) is very appreciative of all the effort put forward to helping this great foundation! I am so proud to be part of such an incredibly awesome and truly compassionate team."
Shell Eco-Marathon with Northridge High School
The Northridge High School Raider Motorsports-CAD Club recently competed at Detroit's annual Make the Future Detroit festival of innovation and ideas. With the help of more than 470 volunteer hours from LCI's Phil Myers, Kevin Gipson and Dustin Wait, the NHS team competed with schools from around the world to see which team could go the furthest on the least amount of energy in the Shell Eco-Marathon Americas challenge.
Cookout Benefiting Goshen's "The Window"
Plants 228W and 228G hosted a cookout at The Window, where all proceeds helped feed those in need throughout the Goshen community. LCI team members grilled out, served brats and burgers, coleslaw, potato salad and more. The team raised more than $2,000 to support nonprofit organization The Window, which will use the donated funds to purchase essentials items like food and clothing.
Plant 214 Raffle Benefiting Kids at Local Children's Hospital
Plant 214 recently had a BBQ and raffle for plant team members. The group raffled off homemade picnic tables, a 58'' Furrion TV and used the proceeds to purchase materials to construct blankets for kids at the local children's hospital. In the coming weeks, the team will hold all-plant events, inviting team members to join in on the construction of the blankets.
TJ Brubaker Visits 5th Graders at Starbase
TJ Brubaker set aside some time to visit Starbase Indiana, an educational program sponsored by the Department of Defense, and spoke to 5th graders about STEM-related topics and careers. TJ is a regular guest speaker at various elementary schools where he actively and passionately advocates on behalf of math and science to youth within our communities. Starbase and the students were thrilled with TJ's presentation and have asked him to return in the future.
Plant 45 Blood Drive
The team at Plant 45 had a successful blood drive. 25 team members signed up to "Be the Match" to support the South Bend Medical Foundation.
Plants 45 & 85 Cleanup Bristol Food Pantry
Team members from both Plant 45 and Plant 85 chipped in at the Bristol Community Food Pantry in Bristol, Indiana. 15 team members helped sort and stack more than 3,000 pounds of donated food. Afterwards, LCI volunteers headed outside to help with outdoor cleanup, painting and weeding.
The Boys & Girls Club of Goshen Special Move-In Project
Team Members from Plants 210, 45, 19, 58 and 50 all helped over the past two weeks for the Boys & Girls Club of Goshen Move In. Everything from tearing apart the club's gymnasium floor, repurposing a space as an additional activity room, moving boxes and furniture, building racks to cleaning and sorting supplies. The Club will be opening the doors to their newly renovated, larger, facility on June 12th.

Making Blankets for Riley Children's Hospital
Plant 214 used proceeds from a recent plant BBQ and raffle to purchase fabric for blankets they'll be donating to Riley Children's Hospital. The team held blanket-making sessions, inviting team members to join in on the construction of the blankets. So far, the team has spent more than 13 hours making blankets to help make the hospital stays a bit more comfortable.
2017 Great Strides Walk for Cystic Fibrosis
On May 13th, several team members from Plant 85 walked in the 2017 Great Strides Walk to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and a cure for the disease. Championed by Jonathan Titterington, Plant 85 and "Team Titterington" surpassed their fundraising goal, raising more than $2,000 in just three weeks for the cause.
Sprucing Up South Bend's Center for the Homeless
A group from the Chassis and R&D Divisions (with support from Brian Hess) helped weed and spruce up the garden area at South Bend's Center for the Homeless.

CARES Mentor Program at Osolo Elementary Grows with LCI Support
Corporate team members have been mentoring students at Osolo Elementary School every week throughout the school year as a part of the CARES mentor program. For three years, LCI team members have served as mentors at Osolo, and this past school year, LCI had more volunteers than ever before. LCI mentors make up a significant portion of the overall mentors for Osolo and this year's volunteer participation allowed the school to nearly double the number of students receiving assistance.
EHS Helps with Habitat for Humanity Home Build
The EHS team worked with Habitat for Humanity in Warsaw, Indiana on the construction of a new home. EHS and the homeowner worked side by side to complete the home's yard and landscaping. Afterwards, the crew headed to another Habitat build site and finished the yardwork and landscaping there as well.
