What our customers are saying
"We met the team at Lippert upon winning a large contract to provide several weldments for the Medium Support Vehicle System upgrade to the Canadian Armed Forces. Part of the finishing details required that the parts be e-coated and we certainly had no experience previously in that field, let alone for a truck body 8’ wide and 22’ long. It was clear from the beginning that the Lippert team had the expertise and the willingness to work with the team from Craig to solve the e-coating puzzle for our project."
VP Canadian Manufacturing Craig Manufacturing
"While refurbishing our manufacturing plant in Normal Illinois, we were in need of e-coating services to build our prototype vehicles. Lippert provided this service for truck frames, battery frames, body closures and complete bodies. They manufactured their own tooling to allow our products to be coated within their facility. Lippert is a full production resource and whether we needed (1) piece/day or (10) pieces/day, the reply was always, ‘We’ve got you Covered.’"
New Model Launch Manager Rivian
"They were easy to deal with and were willing to help move the project along. They listened to all our issues and were quick to fix what we needed them to. They were the best company to deal with out of the whole project. I never minded getting on a call to talk to them."

What is E-Coating?
E-coating, electrocoating, electrodeposition is a process used on parts requiring uniform paint films and high-end corrosion performance. A part is immersed in an E-Coat Paint tank. The paint particles in the E-Coat Paint tank are positively charged with electricity. The positively changed paint particles are driven, forced to a part that is grounded. The results is uniform paint thickness on the part.

E-coating is an efficient process that offers even, comprehensive paint coverage and provides a long-lasting finish that can withstand harsh elements. E-coat is also an environmentally-friendly process, using few-to-zero HAPS (Hazardous Air Pollutants), low VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), and it is OSHA-, RoHS- and EPA-approved.
The Lippert Advantage.
Today, more and more industries are using e-coatings due to the quality and durability of the finish, cost-effectiveness, versatility and environmental impact. From the capacity of our 244,000 sq. ft., state-of-the-art facility to the strategic location of our building and the depth of our coating capabilities, every detail of our operation is designed to push you ahead of the game.

With only a 3-5-day turnaround time, our team is able to offer a wide variety of powder coating color options, and can accommodate products up to 10’ long, 5’ deep and 2’ feet wide. We also use a state-of-the-art, NT-1, 5-stage cleaning process on all products.
Chemical Agent Resistant Coating (CARC)
Meeting military DOD standards, this top-coating process provides products with camouflage, as well as resistance to chemical warfare agents, and harsh chemical substances used to decontaminate equipment. Our facility is equipped to accommodate products up to 22’ long, 3’ deep and 8’ feet wide.
De-Rusting/Pickling
This process uses an acid-based, phosphoric solution to remove light, surface rust and laser, mill and welding stains from heat treatment on products. Our team uses a phosphoric acid bath, water rinse and an application of water-soluble, rust-preventative product.
